I especially appreciate your post. STOP does not always make sense. Listening and timing are everything. I keep trying to remind myself. Thanks for the help.

Hello,
I'm a french pastor's wife. I've just found your site. Very fine and encouraging to see you're going through the same things as me. I've just stopped a teens meeting because I couldn't bear the procastination of the others adults. I was so tired and so frusted to see them so neglecting. The Lord showed I had to stop for a while. I feel in peace. I wear many hats too and sometimes it's hard to see the things clear.
God bless you, sorry for my faults in english.

Sis. Janice,
Thank you for your candid comments on your latest post. I am a Pastor's wife and my husband has been pastoring for the past 18 years and I am experiencing burn-out in the worst way! I had a wonderful Women's Ministry going and we were experiencing growth and blessings in every way, but, my burn-out continued w/similiar circumstances like yours, and I finally put it on hold. I miss them tremendously, as do the other ladies, but I have no desire to start it back up and continue w/me doing 75% of the preparation and the msg as well. With the church being in a slumbering mode, I wear so many hats at times, it is not funny and I just need an outlet to share my experiences in a safe place w/someone who can relate and give me encouragement along the way...

Janice, I am not a Pastor's wife, I thought I was only searching the hearts and minds of Pastor's wives for a project due next week. But, your last two sentences are what I was led here to see. Those words are confirmation of something I need to stop now to pursue God's next great thing. People have been encouraging me to "hang in there", but it is time to walk away. I know in my heart it is now time to go.

God will bless you in all you do so you may continue to bless the rest!

Thank you!

I just read your Pastor's Wife note. I so appreciated it. Sunday we informed our congregation that our little church will be closing as of Sept. 29, 2009. Our hope is to bury the past and re-plant a church within a year's time at the re-faced location we presently occupy. In the meantime, we will be joining a neighboring congregation for our worship time. Does this reflect your Pastor's Wife note or what?? My husband and I truly believe this is God's direction at this time. Thank you.
